MCC
is now a member of the Asian
Composers League, a regional organisation that promotes
Asian new music that runs new music festivals every 12 - 18
months or so in venues around Asia. Composers may have their
works performed at these festivals, and young composers can
dip their toes in the big time by participating in their Young
Composers Competitions. The previous
ACL festivals were held in Wellington (Feb 07), Hong Kong
(Nov 07), Korea (2009) and upcoming festivals in Taiwan (2011).
Those interested to join MCC's ACL Malaysia programme should
write in with full CV and work samples to info@malaysiancomposers.com.

about MCC and ACL membership
There seems to some confusion amongst the composers community,
judging from strange questions from some on whether they are
members of MCC or can participate in ACL activities.
There should by right be no confusion, as it has been explained
everything before clearly and in detail. MCC is therefore
not responsible for any confusion amongst you; that is the
work of some others who have their own motives.
Furthermore, in light of baseless statements by Chong Kee
Yong and Yii Kah Hoe over the past year that have even been
